How to Install & Use Wireless File Manager on FireStick
Transferring APKs on FireStick from a PC/laptop requires you to install Wireless File Manager. This free app not only sends/receives files from a laptop/PC but also extracts the app from the APK.
While Wireless File Manager is available on the Amazon Appstore, it’s not updated to the latest version. Therefore, you must sideload it using the Downloader app.
Note: Make sure your FireStick and PC/laptop are connected to the same Wi-Fi.
Follow the steps below:
Step 1: Turn ON your FireStick device and Go to FireStick Home
Step 2: Click on the Settings iconÂ
Step 3: Select the My Fire TV option
Step 4: To enable the Developer Option, click About.
Note: If you have already enabled the Developer Option, then proceed to Step 10
Step 5: Click on the Fire TV Stick option quickly at least 7 times
Step 6: Now you will see this message at the bottom saying "No need, you are already a developer". So stop clicking then
Step 7: Now the Developer Option will appear in the menu so click on it
Step 8:Â Choose Apps from Unknown Sources to turn it ON
Step 9:Â Simply click Turn On
Step 10: Now return to the FireStick Home menu by pressing the "Home" icon on the remote and click on Find
Step 11: Now select the Search icon
Step 12: Type Downloader and press search
Step 13:Â Select the Downloader App icon from the list available in the Amazon Store
Step 14:Â Tap Get/Download
Step 15: Wait for a while until the installation process is completed
Step 16: Now click Open
Step 17: You will see a popup about Downloader app latest update. Click "OK".
Step 18: Click OK again
Step 19:Â This is the Downloader App interface, Click the Search Bar on top
Step 20: Now enter the Wireless File Manager Downloader Code 730116 in the search box OR enter this URL bit.ly/fsh-downloads and click Go
Step 21: Scroll down and tap “Wireless File Manager” from the “Utility Apps” category.
Step 22: The installation will start. Please wait until it is done.
Step 23: Click “Install.”
Step 24: Once the installation completes, click “Done.”
Step 25: Select “Delete.”
Note: Deleting the Wireless File Manager APK will free up space on the FireStick.
Step 26: Select “Delete” again for confirmation.
Step 27: Click “Settings” and then navigate to “My Fire TV.”
Step 28: Choose “Developer Options.”
Step 29: Select “Install Unknown Apps.”
Step 30: Navigate to “Wireless File Manager” and turn “ON” installation from unknown sources.
Step 32: Now launch Wireless File Manager and click “Got It.”
Step 33: Tap “Grant Storage Permission.”
Step 34: Choose “Allow.”
Step 35: Click “Start Wireless File Manager.”
Step 36: Now you will see a link; note it down and stay on this screen.
P.S. You might see a different link, so copy the one that shows on your device.
Step 37: Now, enter the link you noted down in the PC/laptop browser. To send an APK file to FireStick, simply click “Upload.”
Step 38: Tap “Choose File”.
Step 39: Select the APK file from your PC/laptop.

Step 40: Now click “Upload.”
Step 41: Now you will see the file being transferred to your Fire TV Stick.
Step 42: To install the uploaded APK, click “Open File Explorer.”
Step 43: Select the APK you just uploaded.
Step 44: Tap “Open.”
Step 45: Tap “Install.”
Step 46: Your app is ready to use now!
